Recalling his words, Mr Lim said the Hougang opposition MP did not seem to grasp the gravity of the situation.
Singapore today is squeezed from both sides. 'The cheaper countries are getting better, the better countries are getting cheaper. So what option do we have?' Mr Lim asked.
'As a labour movement, we are prepared to bite the bullets and say 'Yes, it's not easy to survive the future but die, die must try.' The way to go is to be cheaper, better and faster. No other option.'
